Most of my writing efforts recently have been concentrated towards my poetry class. I had reservations about taking a poetry class, but the fiction half of the intro creative writing class didn't fit in my schedule and I have to take an intro class before I can take the regular fiction class, so I figured I'd try it. It was so much better and more fun than I anticipated, half of which was due to my teacher, who was wonderful. Now that classes are over (just finals left, grrr), I'm really glad I did take the poetry class. It was good for my writing skills to go out of my genre and comfort level. Not that I'm going to start writing poetry now, but it was a good experience. And I wrote some poems that I'm really proud of.

As much fun as the class was, it'll be good to get back to some of the projects I was working on at the beginning of the semester, mainly the sequel (perhaps more than one ) to my dancer story Spirit of the Music, and a rewrite of my vampire fic Hungry (which has been removed until the rewrite is completed, since I recently realized how bad it actually was ).
